Your child and a friend will spend half a day (morning or afternoon) on Lady Bird Lake, canoeing through some of Austin's best views before lacing up for a scenic hike along the lake's trails. Great conversation, fresh air, and a side of your principal you don't get to see in the hallways.

This is one of those "tell everyone about it on Monday" kind of experiences.
